Coco Beach Spa Located within an
impressive outer
wall constructed
entirely from local
lava rock are two
single and one
double treatment
fales. These open
air, thatched roof
bungalows are built
in traditional
Samoan style yet
privately located
within their own
quartzite stone and
luminescent wall
enclosures. The
combination of this
traditional Samoan
open-fale design
with the serenity of
contemporary
shoji-style privacy
screening creates an
incomparably quiet
and restful
ambiance. The
spacious spa grounds
also feature a
mini-gecko shaped
heated spa pool and
private outdoor
shower.
Incorporated within
the spa compound is
a separate,
dedicated, hardwood
floor yoga room with
full ocean
views.
Spa therapies
include several
types of massage,
manicures and
pedicures, facials,
body mud wraps using
ayurvedic herbs,
Dead Sea Mineral or
coconut body scrubs,
and beauty
treatments such as
waxing and eye lash
tinting. The Coco
Beach Spa is being
operated by Samoan
Rosa Schreckenberg,
who has trained in
numerous overseas
locations, including
India and Indonesia,
and who also runs
her own successful
day spa in
Apia.
Yoga services at the
Coco Beach Spa are
being offered by
Taialofa, Samoa’s
only locally born
certified yoga
instructor.
Taialofa has studied
yoga throughout
India and America
along with a year of
Zen meditation in
Japan. Her Yoga
certification is in
the Sivananda
tradition from the
Bahama’s Ashram and
she incorporates
these classical yoga
teachings into her
retreats and group
or private sessions.
| Location Coconuts Beach Club
is a 35 minute drive
from Apia. It is
located the southern
side of Upolu where
you find the best
beaches and an
extensive national
park is within easy
drive.
| Restaurants & Bars Coconuts Beach Club
originated with the
famous "Sieni's
Three Stool Bar and
Restaurant", dubbed
"one of the world's
great cocktail bars"
and acclaimed as the
country's best
restaurant. Dine
under the stars on
the Palm Terrace,
with the sound of
waves breaking on
the distant reef.
The setting is as
memorable as the
local fresh lobster,
crab, prawns and
fish, or the
succulent New
Zealand steaks,
accompanied by fine
European and
California wines.
