| Plantation Island Resort offers a large and variable choice of accommodation featuring two bedroom beachfront and garden bures, lagoon and garden view hotel rooms, 1 bedroom garden bures and interconnecting garden bures. All accommodation features private bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fan(s), Beachfront Bures have air conditioning, patios. There are no television in the bures/rooms. However there is a Quiet Room with a television and fax and computer access are available, just ask Reception.
Plantation Island Resort has 7 kilometres of beautiful white sandy beach to play on, snorkel amongst the reefs and view what has been described as some of the best coral and sea life in the world today. As an alternative, view the underwater world in the semi submersible. Scuba Divers are catered for by the PADI Dive Shop, and the furthermost dive site is located 30 minutes by boat from the beach. Plantation's uniqueness is evident in its very complete range of
accommodation styles, from hotel sytle rooms, to studio garden
bures, to beachfront or 2-bedroom garden bures. All bures/rooms
feature private bathroom, refrigerators, tea/coffee facilities, ceiling
fan, patio.
2-Bedroom Garden Bures
Spacious accommodation set back only 50 metres from the water.
Perfect for large families.
Beachfront Bures
Premier air conditioned accommodation located right on the
beachfront and suitable for executive couples.
Hotel Rooms
These air conditioned rooms are centrally located near the main
beach complex. They offer extremely good value for couples and
families holidaying to a budget.
Studio Garden Bures
Large 1-room bures set amongst tropical palms and suitable for just
about everyone.

On Plantation Island the emphasis is on cultural activities, see the
staff weave hats and baskets from coconut palms, woodcarvers
demonstrate their talents on the beach, witness coconut tree
climbing and taste the delights of super fresh coconut milk. Take a
Fijian Medicine Tour of the Island and learn how the Fijians use the
different trees and plants as medicine to cure their ailments. Learn
traditional Fiji Cooking, the local Chef will show you how to prepare
seafood "Fijian Style" - delicious.

The Torch Lighting Ceremony
This is a tradition that dates way back. Local legend dictates, that
when the village men were out fishing for the evening meal and it
was getting late, the women of the village would beat the lali drum to
alert them to come home and light flares to show them the way. This
ceremony is continued on at Plantation Island every evening at
sunset.

International Airport in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands on the 600
acre Island of Malolo Lai Lai - actual Resort area is 110 acres.
